Summer Research Symposium

At the end of every summer, CSChE hosts a Summer Research Symposium which serves as a local Reg Friesen Oral Paper and Robert G. Auld Student Paper Competition. The judges, consisting of chemical engineering professors and PhD candidates, provide valuable feedback to participants to improve both their research and presentation skills.

Research Days

Students attend Research Days to gain knowledge about the topics of research professors are currently working on in the faculty. At the end of the session, there is also a networking opportunity where students are able to speak to professors and discuss aspects of their research. This event provides a chance for students to contact professors for summer research positions and undergraduate thesis opportunities.

Professor-Student Mixer

This event provides a platform for students to communicate with their professors in an intimate and friendly environment. It also provides an opportunity for first year students to meet their would-be and future professors. We play trivia games and have a fun time with food and drinks.
